Early March when this simple blog was launched. Although I consider myself as a beginner, all I have in mind is to share what I knew about personal finance and to help other Filipino beginners in properly managing their money.
I knew that there are many Filipino personal finance blogs out there but I believe that each of us has a unique experience and views in life that can inspire and help other people in different ways. I also share personal experiences and point of views about budgeting and saving, earning more and basic of investing that make the blog somehow unique.
Aside from writing personal finance tips that could help fellow Filipinos in their personal finance, I’m running some “ads” on this blog that can help me earn an extra dollar on the side. If you’re reading this blog and seeing some advertisement, those are ads from Google Adsense.
Like many other blogs you see and read, that related advertisement can bring in extra dollars. That’s one of many ways how bloggers make money on their blogs.
Update: Read this article where I shared and revealed the secrets how we’ve reached the P200,000 earnings in our blogs.
After more than 5 months of blogging, I was able to earn an extra $139. This is my first earnings in Google Adsense. What a nice feeling to claim your first profit! Haha. That $139 can already pay our bills and buy some groceries. But we decided not to spend it for now since I and my lovely wife are planning to put up other passive income generating side business. We just bought some snacks to treat ourselves a little bit. 🙂
I considered this as a passive income since most of the time, I only work 30 minutes++ on this blog for 3x a week. I know it’s not big compared to others and seasoned bloggers out there, but for a beginner and started like many of us, this is huge.
This keeps me inspired and motivated to continue blogging knowing that someday int the near future it will generate more passive income for us.
Previously, I wrote and shared some basic articles about blogging and earning money on the side. If you’re a beginner or planning to start, this can help you. Here’s the list of articles that can help you.
By sharing valuable personal finance tips to fellow Filipinos and other people, I was able to earn those extra dollars from blogging. And that’s just a start. Those articles I wrote and shared will stay on this blog “forever“. I mean people will continue reading and sharing helpful articles on this blog virtually forever.
That means that it will continue providing passive income for us given that the blog stays up and running. If you’re planning to start a blog too, I strongly suggest you choose the topic that YOU LOVE and PEOPLE WILL LOVE TOO.
Those that help people and contribute value to their life. That way, you’re not only blogging but helping other people as well. You’re not only earning but changing lives too.
If you’re a beginner too or planning to start a blog and make money on the side, I hope this inspires you. I hope you continue writing and providing valuable articles to other people especially to our fellow kababayans.
Just stay positive and keep on going whatever happens. Sooner than later it will pay off and you will have your reward too.
To our success, cheers!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Blogging is a good way of earning money but not for people who thinks that blogging is an easy way to earn hundreds or even thousands of dollars in one night.
This post is very informative and helpful for newbie bloggers especially Filipino bloggers
