Today I will share 5 Easy steps to enroll in Metrobank online banking. It contains all the information you need to know to enroll you Metrobank savings account into their online banking feature. Let’s go.

You may find other sources online but in case you don’t, I hope this one will help you. If you’ve open a savings account in Metrobank better you also enroll and activate it’s online banking feature. This can help you save time and effort in may tasks like buying prepaid load, paying bills, viewing account balance, transferring funds and many more.
How to enroll to Metrobank online banking.
1. Go to metrobank’s official website (https://www.metrobank.com.ph). On the upper right part, you can see Metrobank direct, click on Enroll now. Please see image below.
2. Select ATM on the drop down and click continue.
3. Fill up the form and complete all needed information. Make sure you are entering all the correct information. Double check before hitting continue.

*Note: The application form will ask for 19-digit atm card number but there are only 16-digit on the card itself. As confirmed by a kind reader(Rosela) in the comment below, Metrobank advised to add 3 0’s at the end. It worked for Rosela so it should work for others too. Thanks to Rosela! 🙂
4. After completing all the information above, follow the instructions, continue until finished. You’ll also receive an OTP(one time password) on the number you registered that you need to activate and initially login to the account.
5. You’ll receive the activation code or link thru email. Once you click the link on email, it will ask you to activate your online account. You will need to OTP to activate it.
Once done, you can now use your Metrobank online account. Enjoy!

What does intermediate payment mean regarding payment options? I was confused with “intermediate” and “scheduled”. Because when I clicked scheduled, it had choices one time payment and recurring payment (that i understand). But what does intermediate mean?

im getting an error that atm number should be 19 digit. Im looking at my atm,i dont have a vision problem, and my card has 16 digit number only. Pls advice. This is a payroll atm and my first business with metrobank. Its frustrating!
Try to check with the sample (click sample link). Or try adding 0s at the beginning. 🙂

Just wondering why ATM PIN is necessary? This is quite alarming. Other banks with online banking services do not require ATM PIN. In fact, they post on their page that if a client is asked to put the ATM PIN, do not continue as this is somewhat a scam.
Did you provide your ATM pin online? I’m also wondering why they were asking for the PIN I wonder if its safe. I do BPI online banking but they didn’t ask for my ATM PIN online so I’m a bit cautious too.. hmmm

Hello, I have tried to register my sister’s newly account opened just to monitor the in/out transactions as I will the one who will deposit for that account.I input all the details the 16digit card no plus three zeros at the end. here name,middle name, b-day, mobile no, email address but still at the end is shows that MAYBE I FILL SOME INCORRECT DATA.. Hi Teolo, you might need to verify the info provided by your sister to the bank when she initially open her account. you might be entering her right info but if those info were incorrectly entered on the bank’s database, the system wont be able to match it. She needs to call the bank and make sure the info are correct. Have a great day!

hello, I would just like to ask, what to put in the middle name section when I don’t really have one. I mean, only my first and last name were indicated in all my significant documents and the bank accepted it and issued me a payroll account and a debit card (with my name on it without the MI). i’ve been using my card for 6 months already and I’m frustrated because when I left the middle name part empty, the page kept prompting that I must fill up a middle name. when I put an “n/a” the prompt will suggest that the middle name should only contain alphabet letters, the same if I put a hyphen sign (“-“) symbolizing ‘none’.

For those getting “invalid data” error when enrolling, check first that all details you put are matching what you put on the application such as, name (first, middle, last), date of birth, ATM PIN, card #. If that doesn’t work still, such as my case, I called the customer service hotline (wait time is about 20 minutes in the morning). I was then referred to the branch where I opened my account. They were able to confirm that my name on the system was encoded incorrectly. After that, I tried to enrol again and this time it was a successful attempt. Hope this helps, guys. 🙂

just make sure the website you get directed to is in https format (secure site).. you can actually check the certificate and validity by clicking the icon.. like in bancnet website. hope this helps..

Hello Jarwin, If you think you entered all the information correct maybe it’s time to double check with Metrobank Customer Service. Sometimes it happen that the form we fill up before was different from the information on our account. You can verify with them. THanks!

Hi billy! I just wanted to ask you something but let me share to you my scenario first. I have a payroll accnt in metrobank before on my old company that was already enrolled on ebanking so i have access both on web and on the app but i got locked out of it and i also got separated with the company so i dont have access that payroll accnt anymore, now im with a new company but they also have metrobank for our payroll so i got a new payroll accnt in metrobank i tried registering on their website with the new card, new cp number but same email and i got error message that it has already been enrolled to the metrobank direct. Is it possible to create a new online account to access my new payroll account with the same email?

Not sure if that will work Manny. Metrobank uses OTP and not sure if international numbers can receive the OTP when you logged in to the account. Better to ask Metrobank for this concern. Thanks!

Look, I am from the USA and I know that answer, Are you from the Philippines. Becareful how and what you say about people and middle names. Yes in the Philippines it is usually your mothers last name but the reason people in the Philippines do not have a middle name is because they are illegitimate meaning their father was not on the birth certificate or not around and just a sperm donor. Please be careful because your ingnorance can hurt people. If you don’t know what illegitimate means then look it up.

worst website ever, been trying to enrol in online banking, took me multiple tries before i get in, or so i thought, when i try to login using the new acct i created, i just could not, with an error “invalid user name or password”, geez, am not that too old a lady to have forgotten the acct i just had made 1 minute ago, tried to click “forgot password” just to satisfy this crazy app but then it will not accept my details with a mismatch error, and because i am a very patient person, i tried to enrol again with a different user id but the interface just keeps on rolling, and after a while would say session timed out, whew, first time i lost my patience! can’t you create a more user-friendly app please because i have no other choice but to be stuck on you since my company payroll is with you…????????????????

It has been years and people still don’t have an answer on what to do to register online if they don’t have a middle name. This is ridiculous and shows how little the bank cares for their customers. This is really frustrating. Does anyone have an answer?
Isah, It depends I guess where you came from. My kids doesn´t have a middle name on their birth cert but usually, if it requires you just use your Mother´s last name if you don´t have the same last name that is. So like for example Maria Ascension (no middle name right?) So her last name is Ascension – taken from her father´s last name. So the middle name should be from your Mom´s last name. So, ask her, if you don´t know. Now, if you´re illegitimate for example – then you ask the bank..call if you need to. Emailing them is like waiting for nothing.

Hi Good am. Just wanna ask lang po. I tried to download METROBANK MOBILE BANKING so I can monitor my payroll account po kasi hirap lumabas labas to check since lockdown po. Nakapag-register and nakagawa naman po ako ng account pero when I tried to link my payroll account po sa Mobile Banking. Hindi naman po ina-accept. Laging INVALID DATA or No record. Even sa GCASH ayaw din malink, SAME ERROR. Pero sa Online banking (Metrobank Direct). Naglink naman po sya so it means wala pong problema sa information na nilalagay ko.
