Being a SSS member is a mandatory requirement if you’re working in the Philippines. Your employer should help you process the payment of your monthly contributions. But to monitor and check what’s on the record is your duty. Sometimes it is needed to monitor and regularly check your SSS contribution and see if your employer are paying what you have already been paid.

Additionally this can help you see and monitor your loan payments if you have any. Let say for example you have a salary or maternity loan, all those transaction and information can be found and cross check on your SSS online account. 2 Easy ways on how to check SSS contribution in the Philippines.

1. How to check SSS contribution thru text

Our SSS has a program that allowed members to check their SSS contribution, it is called Text-SSS. Members can also check their loan status and other loan information thru this program.

For a minimal fee of P2.50, you can check and verify your SSS contribution pretty easily. Here’s what you need to do.

A. To receive updates on contributions, the member should key in the following text message, filling in the appropriate information for SS number and date of birth:

SSS (space) CONTRI (space) SS NUMBER (space) DATE OF BIRTH [using the MMDDYYYY format], then send to 288 (Smart/ Talk ‘N Text) or 2931 (Globe)

B. To check status of salary loan application

SSS (space) SLSTAT (space) SS NUMBER (space) DATE OF BIRTH [using the MMDDYYYY format], then send to 288 (Smart/ Talk ‘N Text) or 2931 (Globe)

C. To get information on salary loan payment period

SSS (space) LPERIOD (space) SS NUMBER (space) DATE OF BIRTH [using the MMDDYYYY format], then send to 288 (Smart/ Talk ‘N Text) or 2931 (Globe)

D. To get information on loan balance

SSS (space) LOANBAL (space) SS NUMBER (space) DATE OF BIRTH [using the MMDDYYYY format], then send to 288 (Smart/ Talk ‘N Text) or 2931 (Globe)

Note: This program is only available for Globe, Smart and Talk ‘N Text subscribers only.

If Text-SSS is not working for you, you can choose the next option which is to check SSS contribution online.

2. How to check SSS contribution thru online

Given that you already have a SSS online account, follow the instructions below.

A. Login to your SSS online account, on the official website of SSS.

B. Once logged in, go or click Inquiry under E-Services menu. See sample image below.

C. Once you’re on the E-Services tab, you can see the Member’s Info tab, when you hover to that menu you will see additional sub-menus. Click on Actual Premiums to see check your SSS contribution.

The above image shows my current SSS contributions. Since I am an active SSS member since the first day I worked, you can see all of my SSS contributions there from 2008. Below of that is the summary of the information. You can see all the number of contributions(mine is 94) and then the total amount.

It’s very helpful to have this if you want to monitor and cross check your SSS contributions and other SSS related information. Aside from the SSS contribution, you can also see the following information below.

D. You can check your details as a SSS member by clicking Member details under Member Info tab. See below.

E. You can also check your SSS loan status and other loan additional information by clicking on Loans tab and then Loan Status/Loan Info. You can see my first loan there almost 5 years ago. 🙂 See sample below.

F. And last, you can also verify and check your Employment history by clicking Employment History under Member Info tab.
